Kelsey Jonvea

A seasoned traveler with an intrinsic desire to help others. Experienced in professional photography from weddings to large-scale events.

With a background in photographing concerts, I thrive in a fast-changing environment: looking at angles and light, and embracing documentary-style photographs that hold up to the editorial world. With wedding weekends, this approach applies effortlessly, lending to imagery with genuine energy and emotion.

Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity, and change.

Hand In Hand With Humanitarianism

Location, lifestyle, scale — I don’t choose between luxury wedding weekends and elopements because there is a story in both. Documenting your wedding supports my volunteer work. Then, the time I spend as a volunteer fills my cup to be more present during your wedding. It all feeds into each other.

It all circles back.

Where you’ll find me

Known for my work as an New York City event photographer, home is where life directs me — often settling into destinations where I can focus on weddings and volunteer projects.

I’m based just outside of Time Square, traveling often to the Upstate New York, Connecticut and neighboring wedding destinations. Recently, home after spending 6 months abroad doing volunteer work between Guatemala & Australia.

My First Piece Of Advice To You…

If we have the opportunity to work together, this won’t be the last piece of advice that I share — if I can ever softly suggest something that will improve your experience, I will.

In the meantime, know this: go with the photographer you truly resonate with. Their perspective will influence the coverage of your story. And you should have fun working with them! As one of my couples said, “The most comfortable I’ve felt in front of a photographer. It felt like hanging out with a friend.”
